Frequently asked questions

Which laying pattern: chess board, half offset of wild offset?

There are a number of so-called installation patterns for laying floor plates:

    • cross band, the checkerboard pattern, so laying with cross connections (the plates of the individual rows are exactly on top of each other),
    • diagonal bandage as a special form of cross band, the plate surface is rotated with 45 °, creating a straight edge,
    • row or half row, brick offset or half offset (each row is offset by exactly half the length of the plate compared to the previous one),
    • wild bandage (any offset from a row from the previous row, typical of laminate and shelves).

Which laying pattern can be used for WARCO panels always depends on the construction type of the panel concerned:

Panels without connection system on the panel edges can be placed in any laying pattern.

    • Plates with connectors are always placed in series.
    • Zipper plates (also with hidden zippers) are placed in cross or diagonal bandages. Large-format panels with interlocking zip or hidden interlocking zip can also be laid in series.

In the case of WARCO panels, which are equipped with a mounting system on the panel edges and can be processed in different laying patterns, the choice of the laying pattern does not matter for the stability of the finished surface. The type of connection between the plates (the connection system) and the professional installation of the plates in the surface is always decisive.
