What temperature is suitable for laying rubber tiles outdoors?
For laying rubber tiles outdoors, temperatures between 5 and 17 °C are suitable when the sky is overcast. Direct sunlight should be avoided during laying, as heated rubber tiles expand and contract as they cool, which can open the joints.
To reduce the risk of joints opening, store the rubber tiles at the installation site before laying so that they acclimatise to the ambient temperature. Throughout installation, the tiles and substrate should be kept at a consistent temperature; significant temperature changes should be avoided; and the area should be completed without prolonged interruption.
