    How do I calculate the number of tiles I need?

    For a rectangular area, calculate the number of rubber tiles from the effective laid dimensions of the selected tile. Divide the length and width of the area by the tile’s effective laid length and width, round each result up to the next whole number, and multiply the rounded values.


    For an area measuring 940 × 300 cm, using tiles with effective laid dimensions of 50 × 50 cm, 19 tiles are required along the length and 6 tiles across the width. The total requirement is 114 tiles for around 28.5 square metres.


    Always use the effective laid dimensions stated in the product data sheet. Shipping dimensions are slightly larger than the effective laid dimensions and must not be used for the calculation.


    Production and raw material tolerances are normal with PU-bound rubber granulate and should be allowed for. Include a few additional tiles to cover laying waste and to allow damaged individual tiles to be replaced later.


    The laying planner calculates the tile requirement and is available for each product in the online shop. Once the area dimensions have been entered, it displays different laying patterns and the required number of tiles. For angled, sloping or round areas, a laying plan drawn to scale is also recommended.
